Due Cycle 18

2/25/2013

That's a Wrap - None.

Open Research - At this point, you should probably be finished with your notes and starting to work on your projects. You are working at your own pace with the goal of finishing the project by Cycle 19.

Fractured Fairy Tales - Complete the Fractured Fairy Tale story map

Due Cycle 17

2/15/2013

That's a Wrap - None. We will continue filming next week!

Open Research - Please return the Weebly permission slip if you are making a website and have not created a website previously. You are working at your own pace through the projects, but you should probably be ready to finish up your notes and start working on the projects.

Fractured Fairy Tales - None, but start thinking about what fairy tale you would like to "fracture." We'll start prewriting and drafting next week!

Due Cycle 16

2/5/2013

A wrote a lot of detail this week because we covered a lot in class!  If you need help, please send me a message on Edmodo and I will do my best to get back to you quickly!

First, don't forget to finish your reflections if you didn't get to them today in class.  THEN....

That's a Wrap (1:15 group)
- "Storyboard" 3-5 blocks (or scenes) of a story you might want to turn into a movie.  Remember, we were looking to build the story around the campsite and remembering to use sunscreen. Again, a simple sketch with a sentence describing it is all I'm looking for.

That's a Wrap (2:15 group) - "Storyboard" 3-5 blocks (or scenes) of a story you might want to turn into a movie.  Remember, we were looking to build the story around the campsite and growing an apple tree from seeds. Again, a simple sketch with a sentence describing it is all I'm looking for.

Open Research - If you didn't complete the starred pages in your packet, please do that. Complete the rubric if you didn't finish in class. I will conference with you next week to make sure everything is set. Feel free to work on your notes once you have finished the items above!

Fractured Fairy Tales - If you didn't need your library book for the fairy tale organizers,  you can finish those up.  If you needed the books to finish your charts, please wait until next week.  In the meantime, you can try working on your "Comparison Castle." Once these are finished, we'll look at some "fractured" fairy tales and then write some of our own!
