What is Special Interest?

Special Interest is a pull-out program for all students identified as mentally gifted.  It is created to supplement the regular classroom curriculum in meeting gifted students' individual instructional needs through a challenging enrichment curriculum.

How can my child be involved?

Talk to your child's teacher or guidance counselor to see how to determine if your child may be eligible. When looking for gifted characteristics, the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) may be helpful.
